Kicks Martial Arts has a staff of courteous, certified, professional instructors and trained assistant instructors. Kicks' Instructor Training Program demands that each instructor and assistant instructor meet the latest and highest standards in martial arts training, teaching skills, professionalism and integrity. Not only do our instructors love martial arts...they love teaching martial arts. Head Instructor Laura Kamienski supervises all of the instructor training under the guidelines and requirements set forth by the International Tae Kwon Do Union and the National Women's Martial Arts Federation. These guidelines ensure quality instruction from qualified teachers. |

Laura Kamienski holds a third degree black belts in the Korean art of Tae Kwon Do. Ms. Kamienski was named 2001 Instructor of the Year and 2002 Woman of the Year by the International Tae Kwon Do Union (ITU). She was also awarded the Outstanding Contribution to the Arts award by the North American Black Belt Hall of Fame and 2002 Instructor of the Year by the World Karate Union. Her other awards include three exemplary achievement medallions, which she earned for forms presentation and sparring. Sabum

Laura is a certified instructor with the National Women's Martial Arts Federation,
International Tae Kwon Do Union and the Association of Women Martial Arts
Instructors.
As ITU Pennsylvania State Director she is responsible for overseeing
ITU rank
testings and seminars.. Laura has also trained in other styles of
martial
arts including Krav Maga, Modern Arnis, American Wrestling, Shotokan
Karate,
JuJitsu and Kickboxing. Ms.
Kamienski
has recently finished co-authoring book with Sabum Nim Jennifer Lawler. Her book
entitled, Training
Women in
the Martial Arts: A Special Journey ,
published by Wish Publishing is now available. Laura has been a professional group fitness and aerobics instructor for over a decade and has been certified by the National Association of Professional Martial Artists to teach fitness kickboxing classes. Her experience makes CardioKicks! the area's premier fitness program combining practical martial arts techniques with the excitement and fun of traditional aerobic classes. Laura has been teaching women's self defense seminars, workshops and courses for the past ten years. She is a certified self-defense instructor with the National Women's Martial Arts Federation. She has successfully trained in several women's self defense systems including: R.A.D.-Rape Aggression Defense Systems, ASAP Women's Street Defense Intensive, IMPACT Personal Safety, and S.D.I.O.-Self Defense From the Inside Out. She is the founder and creator of Empower! Self-defense for Women. Ms. Kamienski's articles on women's self-defense have been published in several martial arts news and web magazines including ATA Magazine,Women in the Martial Arts, The Stand, Va-Voom and New Traditions, The Catalyst, Martial Arts Professional Magazine, Feminista.com and The Sunbury Daily Item.
