In December 1958 I
graduated from Parks Air College in Cahokia, Illinois and received my Airframe
and Powerplant Mechanic's License (A &P). I was out of work for four
months until I was hired by Mohawk Airlines in April of 1959 to work the
line at Syracuse, NY (Hancock Field). I worked there for about a month
when I quit in May of 1959 to take a job at Madison Aviation, Canastota,
NY. I worked at Madison until December of 1959 when the company closed
down. I was then out of work until April 13, 1960 when I started again
at Mohawk Airlines in Utica, NY (Oneida County Airport). This is where
I will start my "Memoirs of Mohawk Airlines".
